Contract extended M. Arteta: I want to achieve significantly more

On Thursday, London’s Arsenal officially confirmed the ongoing press reports about a new contract with coach Mikel Arteta.

The 42-year-old Spaniard has committed to managing the team until the summer of 2027.

After signing the contract, he said:

"I feel incredibly happy working every day with good people and striving for the goals we have set.

Together with the players and other team members, as well as with the fans who have emotionally transformed the club and our team, we eagerly await the coming years. I feel very inspired, I feel the challenges, the support, and I want to achieve significantly more than we have done so far.”
