Contract with Rivaldo in Angola did not cause much commotion © EuroFootball.com

The famous Brazilian Rivaldo has signed a one-year contract with the "Kabuscorp" club from Angola.

The 39-year-old veteran was introduced at a press conference, where he said: "This will be a new experience for me. I am happy to be here and will try to meet expectations."

Angola, which has oil resources, is one of the richest countries in Africa. Additionally, most people speak Portuguese in the country, which is also widely spoken in Brazil. This factor was emphasized by the best player on the planet in 1999.

However, local journalist Jose Cunha insists that this deal with "Kabuscorp" was met with skepticism: "This club is relatively modest, and there was not much enthusiasm for the newcomer. Many people think that the striker's best years are already behind him."

Last season, Rivaldo wore the shirt of his native Brazilian club "Sao Paulo" and scored five goals in 22 matches. This winter, his agent offered his client to the Belgrade "Partizan" and "Genk" teams, but they were not interested in making a deal.
