Having done good work with Amsterdam's "Ajax," but having left the club earlier due to a scandal, Marc Overmars has found a new job abroad. Overmars was introduced on Monday as the new sports director of Antwerp's "Royal." Prior to this, the Dutchman, who had worked as sports director at Ajax, had a strong connection with the team's coach, Erik ten Hag. Overmars had to leave the Eredivisie champions due to inappropriate personal messages that the 48-year-old specialist sent to his female colleagues at the club. Overmars worked at Ajax for more than 10 years, during which the club became Dutch champions 4 times and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League once, nurturing many talents for the national team during that time.
