On Sunday evening, the 2019 "Copa America" tournament battles in Group B came to an end.
Argentina, who started the tournament with a loss and a draw, avoided tragedy - Lionel Scaloni's players defeated Qatar with a score of 2:0 and secured the second place in the group.
Argentina started the match aggressively and already in the 4th minute took the lead when Lautaro Martinez scored after a mistake by the opponents. The victory was sealed at the end of the match - this time Sergio Aguero hit the target accurately.
The Argentinians will face Venezuela in the quarterfinals.
In the other Group B matches, Colombia secured their third victory out of as many possible ones and finished in first place. Gustavo Cuellaro's goal determined the Colombian victory against Paraguay.
Paraguay's further fate will be decided tomorrow - both Japan and Ecuador still have a chance to advance to the knockout stages from the third position.
