The Paraguayan team, eliminated Brazil in the quarter-finals, could not resist the Argentine team, who won a convincing victory of 6:1. The final will be played between Argentina and Chile.
Argentina started the match successfully and already led 2-0 after the first half an hour. Marcos Rojo scored in the 15th minute, while Javier Pastore scored in the 27th minute.
Paraguay did not have much luck, as within the first half an hour, two of their key players, Derlis Gonzalez and Roque Santa Cruz, had to be substituted due to injuries. However, Lucas Barrios, who stepped onto the field in place of one of them, scored in the 43rd minute to reduce the deficit.
After the break, Argentina attacked relentlessly - Angel Di Maria scored two goals in the 53rd minute. Sergio Aguero added another in the 80th minute, followed by Gonzalo Higuain three minutes later.
Lionel Messi did not score any goals, but provided three assists. He played a significant role in scoring two more goals.
