In the America's Cup, the last third games were played in groups A and B. After them, it became clear that there was one free spot in the quarter-finals of the tournament, which would be filled by the better of the two teams that finished third.

Group A

Venezuela - Bolivia 1 - 1 27' Ruberth Moran [1 - 0] 33' Gonzalo Galindo [1 - 1]

The teams reached a draw that was not needed by either team. In the first half, Venezuelan Moran scored first, but six minutes later Galindo equalized the score. Venezuela occupies the last place in the group and says goodbye to the tournament, while the fate of Bolivia depends on the C group matches between Costa Rica and Chile.

In front of 25,000 spectators, the tournament host Peru recovered from missing two goals and played a draw with Colombia. Congo scored the first goal with his head, and in the second half, after ten minutes, Aguilar increased his team's lead.

However, the Peruvians did not give up, and soon Solano narrowed the gap with a great penalty kick, and then Maestri equalized with a header. The draw satisfied the teams, as Colombia won the group, and Peru remained in the second place.

Group B

Mexico was already close to the quarter-finals, but now they have completely secured their place. In the 26th minute, Bautista was brought down by goalkeeper Espinoza in the penalty area, and Altamarino took advantage of this opportunity to put his team ahead. Towards the end of the half, Bautista scored from the penalty area.

With 19 minutes left until the end of the match, Delgado scored a consolation goal with his head. Mexico took the first place in the group, while the Ecuador team, without collecting any points, finished last and has to go home.

In a tough and beautiful match, Argentina defeated their eternal rival Uruguay and advanced to the America's Cup fight. Estoyanoff scored a great goal in the seventh minute, but after ten minutes Kily Gonzalez was brought down in the penalty area and scored the penalty himself.

Argentina soon took the lead, as Figueroa scored a rebounded ball into the net. In the 35th minute, Uruguayan defender Joe Bizera was sent off the field for a second yellow card. However, towards the end of the half, Vicente Sanchez equalized with a strong shot from 25 yards.

But in the second half, Argentina began to exploit their numerical advantage. In the 80th minute, defender Ayala scored his team's third goal with a header, and towards the end of the match, Figueroa scored for the second time. Thus, Argentina finished second in this group and will play against Peru in the quarter-finals, while Uruguay finished third and waits for their opponent.
