On Thursday night, two more matches were played in the "Copa America" championship. This time, the national teams of Group C entered the battle.
A surprise was recorded in the match between Uruguay and Venezuela. Without Luis Suarez, the Uruguayans suffered another defeat and lost chances to advance to the next stage.
The winning goal came in the 36th minute, when "West Brom" striker Salomon Rondon scored.
Venezuela secured a place in the next stage along with Mexico, who defeated Jamaica 2-0. The goals for the winners were scored by Javier Hernandez and Oribe Peralta.
Venezuela will face Mexico for the top spot in the group on the night of June 14th.
