"Copa America": USA and Colombia national teams took different paths forward (VIDEO)

During the night from Saturday to Sunday, the final questions were answered in Group A of the 2016 "Copa America" tournament.

In the clash between the Colombian and Costa Rican national teams, a total of five goals were scored. Starting the match without leaders, the Colombians fell to a 2-3 score against the Costa Ricans, but still pushed forward.

Already in the 2nd minute, the Costa Rican national team gained a one-goal advantage, but in the 6th minute defender Frank Fabra equalized the score. However, the same F. Fabra scored an own goal in the 34th minute, putting the score back in favor of the Costa Rican team. Interestingly, the defender became the first player in "Copa America" history to score goals in his own net and against his opponents in one match.

In the second half, Celso Borges extended the lead for Costa Rica. In the 73rd minute, Marlos Moreno narrowed the gap again, but the Colombians could not find the equalizing goal in the remaining time.

In the other match, the USA narrowly defeated Paraguay, and managed to not only advance to the next stage but also push the Colombians down to second place. The victory was sealed by Clint Dempsey's goal in the 27th minute.
