Over the weekend, after playing the matches of the Brazilian football championship "Campeonatos Brasileiros", it became clear that this year's national champion became the club.

Although "Corinthians" lost to "Goias" over the weekend, their main competitors, who still had theoretical hopes of catching up with the leaders "Internacional" club, also had to admit the superiority of weaker opponents "Coritiba" and buried their hopes of becoming champions.

The most productive player of the championship became the 39-year-old Brazilian football legend Romario. In total, this season the player scored 23 goals against opponents' goals. This was already the third such title in the experienced player's career.

Despite the unexpected victory against the "Internacional" club, the "Coritiba" team will still have to leave the highest Brazilian football division. Together with them, three other teams - "Atletico", "Brasiliense" and "Paysandu" - will also have to do the same.
