San Paulo "Corinthians" this month will seek to borrow the forward Carlos Tevez.
The 27-year-old footballer refused to step onto the field in the Champions League match in September with Bayern Munich. Later, without permission from "Man City," he returned to his native Argentina, where he has been training individually up to now.
In the summer, the Manchester team rejected a €40 million offer from "Corinthians," but now negotiations could resume.
"We are interested in Tevez because he is a great player," said "Corinthians" president Roberto de Andrade. "We will contact 'Man City' hoping they will agree to loan Carlos."
He added: "The English club made a big mistake rejecting our offer in the summer, as they would not receive even half of that amount now."
However, representatives of "Man City" have publicly stated several times that they will only sell Tevez, not loan him. The Italian champion AC Milan is also actively interested in the Argentine, and Inter Milan could also join the battle.
