During the World Cup Group E match that took place on Sunday, Costa Rica, who suffered a humiliation against Spaniards, rehabilitated themselves and defeated Japanese footballers with a score of 1:0.
There weren't many chances created during the match, but the Japanese had some initiative. However, Costa Rica waited for their moment and in the 81st minute broke through. Keysher Fuller Spence sent the ball into the net and the score became 1:0.
At the end of the match, the Japanese had the opportunity to equalize the score, but the great performance of Costa Rica's goalkeeper Keylor Navas saved his team.
In the case of a German victory against the Spaniards, all teams in Group E should have three points after two rounds. This means that in the next round, all teams should have at least theoretical chances to reach the World Cup quarterfinals.
