The club had previously announced over the weekend that COVID-19 was diagnosed in defender Lasse Schone and goalkeeper Mattia Perin. However, on Monday, the number of infected individuals in the club rose to 14. "Genoa" played a match against "Napoli" on Sunday which they hopelessly lost with a score of 0-6. The club confirmed in their statement that all relevant authorities have been informed about the situation and all safety measures have been taken. It is still unclear whether "Genoa" will be able to play their upcoming matches scheduled for October 3.
