Created petition urging to abolish the away goal rule

This week, the UEFA Champions League was not lacking in memorable events. Unexpected results were recorded in the second leg of the semi-finals, although their course unfolded quite differently. Playing at home, the "Liverpool" footballers crushed the "Barcelona" team with a score of 4:0, while the Amsterdam "Ajax" team failed to maintain their lead and in front of their own fans, they lost 2:3 to "Tottenham". The fall for the Dutch club supporters is painful also because adding the results of the two matches (3:3), the winner is determined by the away goals rule - the English scored more goals as the guests. A petition was created by football fans on the portal "petitions", urging UEFA to abolish this controversial rule. By the way, during discussions held last year, the UEFA general secretary Giorgio Marchetti also heard the demands of the most prominent European club coaches to remove this rule from the club tournaments regulations. The away goals rule has been in effect in Europe since 1965 and now it is being said that scoring a precise shot as guests is significantly easier than it used to be in the past.
