"Barcelona" team leaders are sending increasingly loud signals about the future of team defender Dani Alves. There is almost no doubt that the footballer will still sign a new contract with the Catalan team.
A few days ago, the radio station "Cadena Cope" announced that the positions of the Brazilian and "Barcelona" are almost aligned and that "very little is missing" until the signing of the new contract.
This was confirmed on Friday by Carles Rexach, a member of the Technical Commission of the Catalan club.
The former "Barcelona" player, head coach, and coordinator of the youth academy stated that he was convinced that Dani Alves would remain in the team.
Celebrating his 32nd birthday at the beginning of May, the Brazilian's contract with the Catalan club expires this summer, and there have been reports in the media stating that the opinions of the player's representatives and the negotiators of "Barcelona" regarding the new contract terms are fundamentally opposed.
However, recently the tone has softened significantly.
"I am convinced that Dani Alves will continue to play for 'Barca,' and Luis Enrique will remain at the helm of the team next season," C. Rexach said on the radio station "Esports Cope," also expressing his delight at the team's excellent performance in the crucial stage of the season.
