Criminal case against S. Blatter has been raised

The FIFA corruption scandal continues. The BBC reports that on Friday Swiss law enforcement questioned long-time FIFA president Sepp Blatter.

The Swiss prosecutor announced that a criminal case has been opened against the former FIFA president.

It is reported that Blatter is accused of improper, criminal leadership of FIFA.

The statement claims that Blatter is accused of making an illegal agreement in 2005 with Caribbean football leader Jack Warner for television broadcast rights.

He is also accused of illegally paying two million Swiss francs (about 2 million euros) to UEFA president Michel Platini in 2011.

Blatter's lawyer denies all charges and claims that the former FIFA president is cooperating with law enforcement officials.
