Croatia and Switzerland - one step away from qualifying for the World Cup (VIDEO)

Today in Europe, the first two matches of the additional qualifying round for the 2018 World Cup were played. The most intriguing match took place in Zagreb, where the Croatian national team, supported by their fans, faced Greece. The Greeks suffered a painful defeat, which will likely prevent them from reaching Russia - the Croatians won 4-1. In the 13th minute, Luka Modrić scored a penalty from 11 meters, and a few minutes later Nikola Kalinić increased the lead. However, in the 30th minute, defender Sokratis narrowed the gap with a header, but just three minutes later Ivan Rakitić restored the two-goal lead. In the second half, Andrej Kramarić secured the victory. The return match in Greece will take place this Saturday. In other matches, Northern Ireland hosted Swiss footballers. There weren't many goals in this match, but the important victory was achieved by the visitors from Switzerland.
