On Friday night, in Group D, the world vice-champions Croatia played the second round match against the Czech Republic, ending in a 1:1 draw. The first goal of the match was scored in the 37th minute, after a VAR review and a very controversial decision to award a penalty kick to the Croatian goal, successfully converted by Patrik Schick. Croatia started the second half with much more energy and already in the 47th minute, Ivan Perišić equalized with a great shot. Both teams had chances to score a winning goal, but the final whistle ended in a draw. After two rounds, the Czech Republic has four points, while the world vice-champions have only one.
