After this goal, the Portuguese surpassed Danish footballer John Dahl Tomasson, who has scored 22 goals.
The 29-year-old footballer assured after the match that the most important thing was that the record delighted the local spectators: "Record? Just another one. I knew that sooner or later I would improve it. I still have many matches to play. I am happy because I improved the record in front of my own fans. It's a special moment."
