One of the brightest football stars in the world, Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo, has confirmed that he has no plans to end his career in the near future. The 29-year-old attacker from Madrid's "Real" is ready to play until 2021.
Fans of the footballer were concerned about the Portuguese's injuries during the World Cup, which prevented him from leading his team forward. Portugal was eliminated after the group stage, and C. Ronaldo did not have the opportunity to demonstrate anything impressive.
The footballer assures that these injuries are already in the past and he is ready for the battles of the new season: "I feel very good. I have recovered from the injuries and I am ready to play. I hope to maintain good form until the end of the season. I would like to compete at the highest level for another six or seven years."
The leader of the Spanish club, who has won the Champions League, hopes that the new season will also be marked by trophies: "Last season was simply amazing. Now we have the opportunity to compete for five or six trophies next season, and that is fantastic."
Cristiano Ronaldo did not attend the club's pre-season camp in the USA and will join the team later. The club allowed the World Cup participants to rest.
