C.Ronaldo: I don't understand why "Juventus" players protested

In the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final match, Cristiano Ronaldo, the leader of Madrid's "Real" team, became a hero for the fans.

At the end of the match, the 33-year-old Portuguese accurately converted a penalty kick and secured the royal club's spot in the tournament's semi-finals.

After the game, the veteran was amazed by the stormy reaction of the "Juventus" players to referee Michael Oliver's decision to award a penalty kick.

"I don't understand why they protested, but that's football. If the Italians hadn't committed a foul, Lucas would have scored a goal.

"We are happy to have reached the semi-finals," said C. Ronaldo.

Before the decisive strike in the 4-3 winning series, the striker had to withstand immense pressure.

"I had to calm down. It was a decisive goal and, thank God, I scored," said the Portuguese.
