Last summer, the football world was shaken by the news of the transfer of Madrid's "Real" leader Cristiano Ronaldo to Turin's "Juventus".
At the same time, the long-standing Portuguese battle with "Barcelona" representative Lionel Messi came to an end in the Spanish leagues.
In a recent interview with the publication "Gazzetta dello Sport", the Portuguese player insisted that there is a simple solution that would reignite the vivid imagination of football fans.
"No, maybe he misses me. I have played in England, Spain, Italy, Portugal, the national team, and he still waltzes in "La Liga". Maybe Lionel needs me more," said the striker suggesting Messi should move to "Serie A".
"Life is a challenge for me - I like it and want to give people joy. I dream that one day Lionel will come to Italy - just as I would welcome him. Of course, if Messi is happy in Barcelona, then I respect that choice."
