"CSKA Moscow warned AC Milan that they do not intend to sell one of their best players Keisuke Honda halfway.

"The Japanese caught the eye of the Serie A club, but our position is clear - we will only let him go if we receive a suitable offer," said Roman Babayev, sports director of the Russian team.

The 27-year-old midfielder's contract with CSKA expires in December and he can now freely start negotiations with other teams.

However, Milan would like to acquire K. Honda now.

"The situation has not changed. Of course, the player can talk to other clubs. However, we want to be realistic and we have set a price for when we can release the player," Babayev insisted.
