On Wednesday, decisive second leg matches were played in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, after which all participants of the most prestigious European football tournament were revealed.

Deividas Šemberas' "CSKA" club unexpectedly eliminated Glasgow "Rangers", and will now be able to compete among the strongest teams of the Old Continent, while former "Kaunas" rival "Djurgardens" had to acknowledge Turin's "Juventus" dominance at home.

In other matches, there were no major surprises, as all favorite clubs managed to overcome their opponents. However, one new face in the league will be Tel Aviv's "Maccabi" club, as for the first time in its history it has succeeded in reaching the group stage.
