Former AC Milan coach Hector Cuper has rejected an offer from Madrid to replace Gregorio Manzano as the coach next season. The future of the current coach of Real Madrid, Gregorio Manzano, is uncertain as his contract ends after this season, and the club's management keeps postponing negotiations for a contract extension. Cuper, who was fired by Inter last fall, has already successfully coached another La Liga club - , which he led to the Champions League final twice - in 2000 and 2001. Now the Argentine is unemployed, and his agent Alejandro Camano previously stated that his client does not intend to coach any club until the summer of 2005, as he is enjoying his free time. Furthermore, Cuper's agent added that his client still has a contract with Inter and intends to respect it: "Cuper had to reject the offer from Atletico, as he still has a contract with Inter until the summer of 2005. He would definitely like to lead a team again, especially a strong one like Madrid, but he intends to respect his contract with Inter."
