Misunderstanding next to the field cost the Bergamo "Atalanta" team dearly.
In the "Serie A" match that took place yesterday, Gian Piero Gasperini's team lost 0:1 at home to the Rome "Lazio" club.
The match could have ended quite differently, but it was significantly influenced by a mistake from the "Atalanta" staff.
In the second half, G. Gasperini instructed his assistant to register a substitution and to send Lazar Samardžić onto the field instead of Ederson.
However, the assistant, who misheard the poorly pronounced name, substituted Ademola Lookman instead.
Angry, G. Gasperini reacted swiftly to the situation and, after a minute, still had Ederson seated on the bench, but the situation on the field had already been compromised.
