In the first stage of the German Cup, the team "Wolfsburg", which won the victory, will still have to withdraw from the tournament. On Monday evening, it was announced that the "Wolfsburg" team made six substitutions in the match against the fourth division club "Preussen Munster", although only five are allowed according to the competition rules. It is likely that the coach of "Wolfsburg", Mark van Bommel, was misled by the fact that extra time was played in the match, but unlike in most other tournaments, in the German Cup, additional substitutions are not allowed in such cases for teams. However, a representative of "Wolfsburg", while speaking with journalists, stated that the club will try to appeal such a decision and hopes for a favorable outcome.
