The true legend of the Czech national team and London's "Arsenal" club, Tomas Rosicky, has decided to end his football career.
The 37-year-old Czech, who dedicated ten years to the "Gunners" club, returned to his homeland in 2016 and once again put on the jersey of Prague's "Sparta." However, he was forced to retire earlier than expected due to physical problems.
T. Rosicky had a contract with "Sparta" until the end of this season, but due to various injuries, he practically did not play in matches and, after consulting with professionals, decided to make a decisive decision - to finally say goodbye to football.
The forward-turned-defender started his career specifically in the Prague team, then his career took him to Germany, where he wore the jersey of Dortmund's "Borussia" for five years.
In 2006, T. Rosicky moved to "Arsenal" and played there until 2016. During this time, the Czech player played 247 matches and scored 28 goals among the "Gunners."
Throughout his career, the player nicknamed "Football Mozart" appeared on the field 516 times and scored against opponents 66 times.
Holding 105 matches for the national team, the defender was chosen three times as the country's best football player.
