D. Aggeris leaves "Liverpool" and returns to "Brondby"

29-year-old Dane Daniel Agger is leaving the "Liverpool" club and moving to his hometown team "Brondby", where he started his professional football career.

D. Agger spent eight years in the ranks of "Liverpool". Among the players currently in the team, only Steven Gerrard has been defending the "Reds" with honor for longer.

The footballer moved to England in 2006, when the Merseyside team decided to pay almost 9 million euros for him.

In the ranks of "Liverpool", the center-back has played in more than 200 matches, scoring 14 goals.

"This club and city have been a significant part of my life and the life of my loved ones, so the decision to leave was very difficult. The opportunity to return home to the "Brondby" club arose and I thought it was the most suitable step for my career," said the defender.

"I wouldn't leave Liverpool to go somewhere else. I proved that over the past few years when I had offers from the Premier League and European clubs," he continued.

"I would like to thank the Liverpool fans for their incredible support and the warm and friendly welcome they gave to my family. It was our home, where we felt happy and well integrated into the community," he added.

"However, in recent years I have felt the effects of playing in a physically demanding Premier League. I didn't want to stay here knowing that I can no longer handle the intensity of the English championship every week," Agger concluded.
