D. Alves: "Barcos" leaders do not know how to behave with players

Former "Barcelona" defender Dani Alves blames club management for disrespectful behavior.

The Brazilian national team player, along with the Catalans, won a total of 23 trophies, but last summer, after the contract ended, he decided to move to Turin to "Juventus."

In an interview with the Spanish newspaper NBC, the 33-year-old veteran did not hide his disappointment that "Barca" did not offer him a new contract until they faced a ban on registering new players.

"I like to be loved, and if they don't want me - I leave," said Alves.

"For the past three seasons, I constantly heard that Alves is planning to leave, but the leaders never told me anything."

"They were big ungrateful pretenders. They did not respect me. They offered to extend the contract only because of the FIFA transfer ban."

"That's when I agreed to play their game and signed a contract that included a clause allowing me to leave for free after a year."

"People who manage 'Barcelona' have no clue how to treat players."

Alves' criticism of the club's management comes at a really unfavorable time for the club. Now discussions are also ongoing about whether Luis Enrique will eventually leave his coaching position.
