Former pupil of Josep Guardiola's at Barcelona, Dani Alves, in an interview stated that the coach is leaving Bayern Munich because he simply didn't like it there.
The 45-year-old coach is approaching his third season close to winning the Bundesliga trophy, but in the last two seasons he has not been successful in the UEFA Champions League. Finally, the coach decided to leave Munich after this season and coach Manchester City.
D. Alves justified his former coach's decision and claims that he was born to lead a team:
"Pep will be where he wants to be. He is like Neymar - he has a desire to discover something new and give 100% to the team. It is obvious that he has the gift of coaching," said the experienced right-back.
"He left the team because of Bayern, but I don't believe he liked it there. Pep likes to start his work from the very beginning, but he didn't have that opportunity there. I think it will be different in the Man City club.
He likes challenges, and everyone who works with him should also be prepared for greater challenges," added the Brazilian national team member.
