On Saturday, the final of the Major League Soccer (MLS) Cup was played in the United States between the Los Angeles Galaxy and Houston Dynamo clubs. The victory with a score of 3-1 was achieved by the team represented by David Beckham, "Los Galacticos."
Houston's soccer players took the lead first after Calen Carr's accurate shot at the end of the first half, but in the second half, Omar Gonzalez equalized the score with a header, and five minutes later Landon Donovan put Galaxy ahead by converting a penalty kick.
In extra time, another penalty was awarded to the Dynamo team, which was converted by Robbie Keane, securing the victory.
"This is the end of a dream," described Beckham as his last game in the US.
"Here I have my family, friends, people who worked with me for six years, Galaxy club employees, fans - they all really helped me. Today is a great day," said the 37-year-old footballer.
Beckham is not yet ready to end his career and is looking for one last challenge before hanging up his boots: "For now, I will continue my career. I will rest during the Christmas holidays and decide where I will go and what I will do."
Throughout his colorful career, the Englishman has represented clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, Los Angeles Galaxy, and also wore the jersey of the Milan team.
