D. Benedetto returns to Argentina © JumpStory

Having spent a little over two seasons in Europe, Dario Benedetto is returning to play in Argentina. "Boca Juniors" officially announced that D. Benedetto has returned to their ranks. The 31-year-old Argentine moved to Europe in 2019 and since then belonged to the "Marseille" club. In his first season for the Marseille team, the striker really shone: he scored 11 goals in the first "Ligue 1" season. In the second season, D. Benedetto also had a decent record (5 goals, 3 assists), but in this season he fell out of the team rotation and spent the first part of the season at "Elche" club, where he was not prominent (2 goals, 1 assist). D. Benedetto's best season in Argentina was in 2016-17. During that season in the Argentine league, the striker scored a total of 21 times and provided 3 assists in 25 matches.
