Former Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov criticized Gareth Bale's behavior when celebrating Wales' national team's qualification for the European Championship.
We have already written that Bale posed with the Welsh flag that had a message supporting Real Madrid's club. It symbolized the footballer's priorities - first the Welsh national team, then golf, and finally Real.
Berbatov, who has defended Bale before, now says that the line has been crossed, so he will fully understand if he receives a reaction at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
"Bale was foolish to triumph in front of that flag," said the Bulgarian.
"It is clear that there is some tension between him and the club. I don't see any problems with the fact that the Welsh national team is his priority, but it is definitely not necessary to triumph with this flag. I understand that it is just a small change, but it brought unnecessary attention.
Maybe he wanted to show something with this behavior, or maybe he didn't see that message and was just full of emotions, but I still think that this behavior is not appropriate.
No one doubts his abilities on the football field and the fact that he receives a lot of undeserved criticism in Spain, but if you feel such anger, then why are you still there? If you feel good enough, then leave for another club and play your football again," Berbatov added.
