Daley Blind left "Manchester United" in 2018 and returned to the "Ajax" team, which has been impressing all of Europe this season and has already reached the Champions League semi-finals.
The 29-year-old defender, speaking to the media, admitted that he still follows the game of the "Red Devils" and keeps in touch with some players. D. Blind hopes that his former team will still be able to save this season and secure a place in the Champions League.
"When Solskjaer took over the helm of 'Man Utd', the team became more positive. Everything started well, but now they have slowed down a bit.
I hope they will be able to rediscover their game and fight for a place in the Champions League. I am still a 'United' fan, so I hope things will improve for them," said D. Blind.
The defender also said that after the successful match against "Juventus", he was congratulated by his former teammates in England.
"Some guys sent me congratulations. It is extremely pleasing. I still have strong relationships with some players. They are wonderful guys. The time spent in Manchester was great," added the defender.
