"Panevėžys” football club has shown confidence in young goalkeeper Danielius Bukelis. The club and the 21-year-old man from Vilnius have agreed on a contract that will last until the end of the 2027 season.
D. Bukelis debuted in the "TOPsport A league” last season, playing two matches against Vilnius "Žalgiris” and Vilnius region "TransINVEST” teams. The goalkeeper gained more playing experience in the second-tier national league.
In the "TOPsport First League,” D. Bukelis participated in 24 matches and kept the goal "dry” 5 times.
The decision to sign the contract was not difficult, as I want to be part of this team in the future and represent this club. In 2025, I will be waiting for my chance to play in the A league, and we will strive for victories with the team,” the goalkeeper told the fk-panevezys.lt website.
The "Panevėžys” team will gather for the first training session in preparation for the 2025 season on January 6.
