„Sevilla“ defender Daniel Carrico says that the team will ask their coach Unai Emery, who led them to consecutive UEFA Europa League trophies, to stay.
Yesterday, the Spaniards triumphed for a record fourth time in the competition of the Old Continent, defeating „Dnipro“ 3-2 in Warsaw.
The team's success sparked rumors that Emery could move to clubs like „Milan“, London's „West Ham United“, or even Madrid's „Real“.
„I think he is a key part of our team. He is our leader and a very important figure. We hope he stays next season, but it is unlikely because he is one of the best coaches in the world“, Carrico told Goal.
„Now we will play in the Champions League, so I hope that will convince him“.
„We will pray for him to stay. Of course, no one can ask for more than playing in the Champions League. We will compete in the strongest tournament and that can strengthen our request“.
Emery has been in charge of „Sevilla“ since the beginning of 2013.
