Madrid's "Real" team will be forced to play without Dani Carvajal in the first round of the knockout stage. UEFA issued a statement that the defender will not be able to help the "Real" team in the next matches.
D. Carvajal, allegedly, received a yellow card in the match against "Apoel" by intentionally delaying the game by not returning the ball to the field. The defender already had four yellow cards, so he decided to earn the fifth one.
He managed to do so and could not play in the meaningless match against Dortmund's "Borussia." However, the plan did not work out perfectly, and it was decided that the 25-year-old player will miss another match.
