D. Costa: I am not a criminal, treating me unfairly is wrong

Separately from the London team "Chelsea," Diego Costa, training apart from the team, complained about coach Antonio Conte and how the club treats him.

Last season, the Spaniard was the top scorer among the "aristocrats" who won the Premier League title, but the coach does not see him in his future plans.

Overall, the situation is interesting because the 28-year-old footballer insists that the coach informed him of his decision in a text message in June while he was representing the Spanish national team. "Chelsea" representatives, on the other hand, do not back down, saying that both parties had agreed to part ways back in January.

"I was not allowed to enter the first-team dressing room and I should not have any contact with the guys," said Costa, found at home in Brazil by the Daily Mail newspaper. "I am not a criminal! I do not think that after everything I have done, it is right to treat me this way."

"They gave me an extra week of vacation, but since then I have only received fines."

"They want me to train with the reserves. I do not intend to do that. I am not a criminal and I am not unjust here. So, if they want to punish me, let them punish."

It is no secret that the striker wants to return to Madrid's "Atletico." However, a transfer ban imposed on the club is currently preventing this move, and the ban will be in place until January.

"I can stay in Brazil and not play for a year even if 'Chelsea' penalizes me for a year and does not pay me," Costa added.

"I will come back stronger. If I were wrong, I would return and behave as they say."

"I would like to move to 'Atletico.' I spoke with 'Chelsea' director Marina Granovskaia. I said, 'If the coach does not want me, I want to move to Madrid's 'Atletico.'"

"I rejected other offers. They want to sell me to China or other teams. If I leave, I go to the club I want, not the one that pays the most."

Costa also said that he was one step away from signing a new contract with the "aristocrats," but Conte "hit the brakes.
