Recently, it seemed to be a public secret that Diego Costa would move to China this summer, but after yesterday's lost FA Cup final, the sniper expressed loyalty to London's Chelsea.
The Spaniard scored the only goal for his team against Arsenal, and this season he scored a total of 21 times in all competitions.
Now the 28-year-old footballer insists that he wants to stay in England, and would only leave if coach Antonio Conte wanted him to.
"I know Chelsea wants to sell players, but I told them that I have two years left on my contract and I won't leave just because they want me to. I will only sign a contract with a European club, they know that. Otherwise, I will stay according to my current contract," Costa said.
"I have a contract and no intentions of leaving, but if there are changes that reduce my chances, if the coach no longer trusts me or gives room to another striker, I will know that I have to leave. But only where I want to," he added.
"Everyone knows which club is my priority, there's no need to hide it."
"Money is a good thing, but I am grateful for what I have now. Besides, I have more things to look forward to, like playing in the next World Cup. I know I have a chance to be invited if I play well at a high level, that's what I want," Costa said.
"If I had to move to another city or country other than Spain, I don't think I would leave, I would rather stay at Chelsea. If the club wants to sell me, they know where I want to go."
Earlier, Costa has said that he would like to return to Atletico Madrid in Madrid.
