D. Costa: Judges hate me and I can't change that

After last weekend's clash with the "Athletic" club, Madrid's "Atletico" forward Diego Costa stated that referees in Spain hate him and deliberately seek to punish him.

Returning to Madrid after the first eight matches, the forward not only scored four goals but was also sent off in the second match, and last weekend he not only received a yellow card but is convinced that the referees did not award a deserved penalty kick for a foul against him.

"Referees don't like me and there is nothing I can do to change that. Some of them punish me for the slightest things. Whatever I did in Sunday's match, I would still have received a yellow card," Costa said to Diario AS after the match.

"You can watch the replay and analyze the situation: I didn't cross the line and certainly didn't deserve a card, but I couldn't do anything - I still got a yellow card. Penalty kick? I think there was one, because after the contact with the defender, I was knocked off balance just before I would have shot," Costa insisted.

Despite the mentioned situations, Costa ended the match by scoring a goal, and the team he represented, "Atletico," won 2-0 and remained in second place in "La Liga."
