The 5th round match between "West Ham United" and "Manchester United" in the "Premier League" was very dramatic. Jesse Lingard, who scored the goal at the end of the match, and David De Gea, who saved a penalty kick, became the heroes of the match, leading "Man Utd" to victory with a score of 2:1. In the first half, the "Red Devils" seemed quite sluggish until the goal by "West Ham". After Said Benrahma's goal, the guests recovered and responded with a goal by Cristiano Ronaldo in the 35th minute. The second half was quite evenly matched, but J. Lingard sealed the victory for his team with an amazing shot back at London's Olympic Stadium. However, the result could have changed during extra time. An 11-meter penalty kick was awarded to "Man Utd" after Luke Shaw handled the ball in the penalty area. On purpose of this decision of the referee, "Hammers" captain Mark Noble stepped up to take the penalty kick, but it was saved by "Red Devils" goalkeeper D. De Gea, becoming one of the heroes of the match. In this match, Jesse Lingard, so to say, redeemed all his wrongdoings against the "Red Devils" fans that he made in the match against "Young Boys" in the Champions League. There he passed the ball to an opponent player, after which the Swiss champions scored and thus "Man Utd" suffered a defeat in the middle of the week in Switzerland. In the next match, "Brighton" at home defeated "Leicester City" with a score of 2:1, which after 5 rounds has only 6 points.
