David De Gea repeated the record for the most saves in the Premier League - such an impressive performance has not been seen in years.
It was thanks to the Spaniard that Manchester United left the Emirates Stadium yesterday with their heads held high, defeating London's Arsenal 3-1, with the goalkeeper saving a total of 14 shots.
De Gea not only prevented Alexandre Lacazette and Alexis Sanchez from scoring from just a few meters away, but also defended against further shots and even his own teammate Romelu Lukaku.
The 27-year-old footballer equaled the record for saves in a single match with Tim Krul, who in November 2013, playing for Newcastle United, had a similar performance against Tottenham in London, and Vito Mannone, who in 2014 saved Sunderland from Chelsea's attacks in London.
These are the only three instances of goalkeepers saving 14 shots since the 2003-2004 season when such statistics started to be recorded.
