“Manchester United” continues to actively try to reach an agreement with their main team goalkeeper David De Gea regarding the extension of his contract.

However, journalist Laurie Whitwell reports that the 32-year-old Spaniard rejected the club's first offer.

Nevertheless, it is undisputed that an agreement will be reached and D. De Gea will put his signature under the new contract.

After the appointment of Erik ten Hag as the head coach of “United”, there were doubts whether the experienced Spaniard would suit the Dutchman as the main goalkeeper, yet the strategist is satisfied with D. De Gea's performance and wants to strengthen other positions.

It is added that the “Red Devils” will seek to sell Dean Henderson this summer, who is currently playing on loan at “Nottingham Forest”.
