Current coach of the French national team Didier Deschamps believes that Zinedine Zidane, assistant coach of Real Madrid, could take over the reins of the national team in the near future.
In 2016, D. Deschamps' contract with the French Football Federation expires. The 45-year-old strategist himself is not sure whether he will renew it after the contract ends.
According to the Frenchman, among the possible candidates to replace him is Zinedine Zidane.
"It's possible, why not? He played for the national team and I think Zinedine could coach it," said the former Marseille manager in an interview.
D. Deschamps also added: "I don't know where my career might go after the contract with the French Football Federation ends."
