The head coach of the French national team, Didier Deschamps, had to justify once again to the media why Kylian Mbappe was not present:

"Why is K. Mbappe not here? I have already said what I had to say. There are 23 players in the national team, and that’s it.

Kylian is not here, so leave him alone.”

The French national team will play its remaining matches in the UEFA Nations League against Israel and Italy.
