D. Deschamps spoke about his successor in the national team

At the beginning of January, France's national team coach Didier Deschamps announced upcoming changes in his career.

The specialist assured that he will take a radical step and leave his position after the 2026 World Cup.

As the experienced coach now spoke, he sees a strong candidate who could become his successor. That is Zinedine Zidane.

"We respect each other very much. The last time we saw each other was in the summer of 2023, but we will meet again during the next offseason for the same reasons.

Z. Zidane is a very good candidate. However, it is still unclear whether Zizou himself will want to take on this role,” explained D. Deschamps.
