"Leicester City" defender Danny Drinkwater says that if he were not selected for the final England national team squad for the European Championship, he would not be very disappointed and would understand the decision.
One of the main members of the "Premier" League winning "Foxes", his season was excellent. This helped the 26-year-old footballer to make it into the list of national team candidates.
Drinkwater played in 35 out of 38 country championship matches, during which he scored three goals and made eight assists.
When asked if he would be disappointed if he didn't get the opportunity to go to "Euro 2016", the player replied: "No, not entirely."
"The midfield is incredibly strong, and the players we're talking about are ridiculously good. They compete at the highest level, so I would understand the decision."
"If that happens, I will continue to work next season and see how everything unfolds. However, the current goal is to make it among the 23 selected players."
"I just intend to train as always and work hard, and if I make it into the squad, then I will."
"Even if I fail, England has a great chance of triumphing, but I would like to be a part of it."
For comparison, London's "Arsenal" and "Manchester City" members Jack Wilshere and Fabian Delph together played only 25 matches this season, but they also have a chance to go to France.
