D. Drogba: "Chelsea" lacks leaders

Former London "Chelsea" striker Didier Drogba believes that the current team lacks people who could become leaders.

Jose Mourinho's players are showing very poor form this season and after 13 matches in the Premier League, they are only in fifteenth place.

According to the veteran from the Ivory Coast, there are no longer personalities within the "aristocrats", apart from John Terry, who are known for their strong characters.

"In my time, 'Chelsea' had many leaders - not only last year, but also in previous seasons," Drogba told The Sun.

"Among us were Frank Lampard, Petr Cech, John Terry, myself, Michael Ballack, Michael Essien, Andriy Shevchenko, Claude Makelele - famous names and excellent players with strong characters."

"We could take responsibility for the result and change the situation in moments like when a coach changes or when the form is poor."

"Terry is still there, but it's very difficult for one person to change something, so other players need to develop such mentality. It's not something you're born with, you have to create it within yourself."

Drogba played for "Chelsea" from 2004 to 2012 and in 2014-2015.
