Former "Manchester United" sniper Diego Forlan believes that the "Red Devils" are capable of reclaiming the title of English champions already this season.
After Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down from his coaching duties three years ago, the Manchester club has never managed to finish higher than fourth place.
Nevertheless, the Uruguayan thinks that with Jose Mourinho at the helm, the team can find success.
"As soon as Mourinho got this job, I knew he was the right man for Manchester United," Forlan told Goal.com.
"They've had a few seasons where the fans aren't accustomed to, so to get the club back to where everyone expects it to be will take Mourinho's experience and influence."
"Manchester United" last season seemed far from a title-winning team and I thought that even under Mourinho's guidance, these years would be transitional. However, now I'm not so sure."
"They have acquired very good players, and if they manage to attract Pogba as well, I think they will definitely be serious title contenders."
The ranks of the "Red Devils" were supplemented during the offseason by Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Pogba's transfer is only a matter of time.
