The striker Diego Forlan will soon leave England and move to a team in Spain. Everything became clear when the English club agreed to sell the Uruguayan.
The 25-year-old striker arrived at "Man Utd" in January 2002 from the "Independiente" club for 7.5 million pounds.
Throughout his time in England, D.Forlan failed to establish himself in the club's main lineup. Representing "Man Utd," he scored only 10 goals in 63 "Premier League" matches.
This summer, with the arrival of another striker Alan Smith at the club, the Uruguayan's chances of staying in the club decreased even more. Even now, when two main "Man Utd" strikers Luis Saha and Ruud Van Nistelrooy are injured, D.Forlan hardly plays.
"D.Forlan agreed to sign a five-year contract," said the representative of "Villareal" Mariam Solsona. "Soon he will fly to Valencia and on Saturday, after a medical examination, he will be officially presented."
